PS3 firmware update 2.40 is now available for download from Sony’s website. PS3 owners who cannot connect their consoles to the Internet will need to follow the manual update routine after downloading the firmware.

- Access PS3 home menu while playing a game.
- Search the Internet using Google from the XMB menu
- Modify controller vibration
- Automatically turn off the PS3
