Quick Review: The Lost Symbol
I was a fan of Dan brown till this mindless piece of drivel hit the shelves. And to think that I pre-ordered it!
This book probably has the worst ending of any fiction novel I have read in my life… and trust me, that’s saying a lot.
And to think that the chap spent 6 years of his life writing this book.
This book features Tom Hanks …er .. Robert Langdon going through his standard motions of running around collecting clues. One points to another and to another ad infinitum. And all this leads to … well.. nothing in particular. Known for his delightfully ‘wow’ endings, this one has IMHO no ending. Don’t buy the book; you can thank me later. Or better yet, get a friend to buy it and wait for him to throw it out of the window. That way you can read it for free.
Needless to say, I cant see Tom Hanks signing up for this one although there are rumors of Columbia pictures planning a movie to be released by 2012.
